Silver Clay Workshop / Gweithdy Clai Arian
Silver clay, also known as precious metal clay is a fantastic eco-friendly material.
Made from silver, recycled from various sources such as the medical and communication industries. The recycled silver is refined into tiny particles and mixed with an organic, non toxic binder.
This fabulous malleable material can then be shaped and sculpted and even used to capture real pieces of nature, using techniques that you will learn on a Silver Clay Workshop.
When the clay is dried, it is then fired using either a special kiln. During this process the binder is burned away leaving pure (or Fine silver)
The piece is polished to leave a beautiful piece of jewellery for you to treasure forever.
The sky is really the limit with silver clay. You can create a pair of earrings, a ring, pendant or even a brooch during this workshop.
A sterling silver chain can be purchased at the end of the day to compliment your completed pendant. Additional material or gemstones can be also added.
To learn more and to make your very own piece of silver jewellery, why not come along to this workshop?
